New Room

We had to move rooms on Monday. Our new room is about twice as big, four times as many windows - all facing outwards so no one can see into our room. We have an extra bed - will be useful if people come to visit, at the moment it is just a storage space. We now have a chess board and a permanent spot for it. We paly one game a day to keep our minds active and to fill in our extreme amount of spare time. We have a desk where the laptop is set up, three cupboards - we wanted to get rid of one but they didn't let us. Window always an option - no one will see. No longer have to live out of a bag. There is a shower closer, only about 50metres now but our private, lockable bathroom is further away but it was always quite a distance. I think the new room even coincided with the improvement of the food. Now we just need ways to keep ourselves occupied. We have been giving private lessons and they total 105 zloty a week but we share duties. Plan to spend the week off for easter in Prague.

Hi Will
enjoyed reading your blogs. We didn't have much luck logging on in NZ but back home now and catching up on all the news. Had a great time cruising around parts of the north island - sea kayaking on the Coromandel (got seasick in the "washing machine"), fantastic jazzfest at Easter, active geothermal parks and the mighty Tongariro NP. Ruapeho and Ngaurohoe (Mt Doom) didn't blow for us, unfortunately! Somebody in Auckland got into trouble tho for setting off a flare on top of Rangitoto (he he he.)

Sounds like moving rooms gave you something to do. You must be doing lots of editing of yr blogs ... when I get onto a European keyboard (e.g. Croatia) it comes out in gobbledygook. How's your Polish coming along? Looking forward to seeing some pics!
